About
The Barbados Photographic society is a registered non-profit organization that was established in 2003 to promote the art and craft of photography among amateur and professional photographers alike and to exhibit their work for public appreciation.
Membership is open to all, and our more advanced photographers take time to assist and develop others in an interactive and sharing environment. Our reach extends far beyond our membership, with a solid following of over 8,000 photographers and viewers worldwide interacting with our Website and Facebook presence.
The education of our members is central to our mission and we deliver our training through lectures, demonstrations, and critique sessions. Our activities include field trips, both locally and overseas, interactive meeting sessions, and exhibitions. we also advocate the interest of our members by giving feedback to government agencies with the responsibility for the arts, and in collaboration with Artists Alliance Barbados, we promote the interests and work of artists of all genres on the island.
